Robert J. Tosolt, PE

Mr. Tosolt is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the movable bridge field where he has in-depth experience working on movable bridges of varying types and vintages.

Mr. Tosolt’s experience includes design of new machinery, load rating of existing machinery, preparation of PS&E, bridge machinery safety inspections, field project engineering, emergency services including troubleshooting to identify and resolve machinery failures and operational malfunctions, and strain gage drive testing and bridge balancing.

Mr. Tosolt has presented numerous papers on movable bridge operations at symposia for Heavy Movable Structures (HMS) and AREMA, with a timely focus on the proactive approach to movable bridge maintenance.

Education: BS, Mechanical Engineering, Lafayette College.
